for the past week or so i have had terrible nasal/sinus congestion due to allergies and a cold. I've heard about the Neti pot but never really thought much of it. After finding small amounts of blood in my mucus after blowing too hard, i did some research and found out that all the Neti pot does is whats called nasal irrigation, which flushes out your sinuses using only water and salt.
so I filled up a water bottle with warm water, sea salt, and a bit of baking soda, put my head over the sink, put the nozzle in my nose, and let it pour. immediately the water started coming out my other nostril and my mouth. i was then able to blow my nose, and my congestion was GONE, and still hasnt come back yet.
to anyone who suffers from any form of nasal or sinus congestion, i reccomend you try this. just make sure you dont use normal iodized salt, you need either Kosher salt or sea salt.
