Narrow/thin edges on Atomic Patents?

Yes I realize this should be in gear talk, but I figure it gets more views here.

I noticed that the edges on my new Patents seem considerably thinner/narrower than my previous pair of skis (Bluehouse MR's)

I haven't hit any rails yet, but should I be worried about this? They seem like they're noticeably smaller and I'm worried they're going to pull out SUPER quickly. I love the ski to death and it's a fantastic ski in terms of responsiveness and weight, but I'm a little worried about the size of the edges, and it just seems weird that a park specific ski would have such wimpy looking edges.

Ski in question is on the right (obviously)

i already have a couple cracks in my punx and i have a slighty harder time turning too and ive been using them for about a month. how do u find the stiffness in the patents?

Cracks happen. When you hit rails your edges will inevitably become round, and carving will be weirder on hard conditions.

And the patents are about mid stiffness. They're somewhat buttery in the tips/tails but overall they're very snappy and responsive. Not too noodly at all.
