Hello, my birthday's coming up soon and i wanna get a longboard. I'm probably going to get a kracked skull but i have no clue in what to get (trucks, wheels, bearings etc) I'm 5 10" and 145 lbs, and any info that would help (your expierence, what's better for a begineer, etc) a n00b like me to get started would be fantastic. Thanks1

if your going kracked skull go about medium length and flex, but it depends whether you want it for bombing a hill or carving it up. for wheels and width on the truck it depends on wether you want a smoother ride or a quicker turn. not to make this a for sale add, but i do have a legendary longboard thats similar to kracked skulls, check my profile or pm me for info because its for sale. have fun out there!

Trucks - Randals or Paris, doesn't really matter. I believe KS boards only come with the Randals option.
Wheels - Personally I have a huge affinity for BigZig Limes, but you will need to be buying the more expensive KS board (Schimitar instead of M1) or the cutouts won't be big enough for them. If you are going with the M1 then I would suggest some ZigZags or some Gumballs or Flashbacks.
As for bearings might as well just get stock, when you first start bombing hills you will probably be quite happy to not be going any faster anyway lol.

IMO, kracked skulls are the best for the money, just get the setup they suggest on the site and you should be good.

i have a 43" M1 and i love it, and whenever my friends ride it they usually like it way more than what they have (sector 9's, landyachts), the only board that really competes with it is the loaded dervish. but those are like three times the price. its a great deck, and its ssoo much fun to skate. im also pretty sure its the lowest deck out there. (but dont quote me on that)

also, to the guy who posted in here about the decks he makes, those look fucking SICK. i love the staining.

Thanks guys +k when I get off of iNS. I'm just looking for long smooth carves down hills if that helps for trucks

i am in the same position. my birthday is soon so i got a longboard, a bit early but i got a sector9 board. its quite smooth, and carves well. havent shredded too hard yet cuz its been raining all day... this was the best board i could find under 250 dollars.

I know basically nothing about KS boards, but you can't go wrong with some Randall 180's and some 75 or 80mm Orangutan In Heats or BigZig Limes.

Happy riding :)
