Myan pyramids?

So im going on a cruise and im supposed to hike up to some myan pyramids or something in mexico. So i am wondering if anyone else has taken photos of something similar so i can kind of understand how to photograph a pyramid.

Any help or suggestions on how to do it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
 
there is no proper way to photograph anything, 100 photographers could all come out with a unique shot. That's why photography is so awesome.
