Oak Lawn? My father grew up there (after "white flying" out of the South Side). He said the best choice he ever made was getting the fuck out of there. Not that the place is horrible, we still have a lot of family there, but it sure isn't California.

My mother, on the other hand, is from the much more respectable "North Side" lol

Although the respectful (not very many) among my fraternity brothers I tried to hook her up with never worked.... which makes me think you guys wouldn't....

No fucking way!!!!!!! I do live in oak lawn!!!!!! Lynwood drive for proof . I go to Oak Lawn community high school. I didnt know there were any skiers even remotely related to oak lawn lol. The place is pretty bad i guess, but itll be easy to leave cuz i have great grades.. Im probably gonna go to Utah when i graduate, my cuz is on his residency there hes a doctor.
 
For the family (mostly cousins and second cousins) it's been like hit or miss for people who are still there. They either end up doing well and moving to the city to like work in Finance. going to like U of M for engineering, or getting pregnant or knocking some other girl up at 15. Both ends of the spectrum.
