I finally got around to welding my rails, I did 90% of the welding and cutting, and Scott and David painted 1 of them and welded one leg.

It's a 22ft flat rail with a little 2ft kink thing at the beginning and a 24 foot flat down flat rail. The Flat rail is 2.5 feet of the ground and the F-D-F rail is 3 feet at the top and 1 at the bottom with a 15 degree angle.

holy mother of sexy those are dope im gunna come ski at your house ....... me and collin just started working on are rail/box type thing and my uncle is making us 2 metal rails with his welding skills... probly a DFD and somthing else
 
the rail/box type thing we are making is 13 ft it a flat bar and is going to be like 2.5- 3 ft tall. and then our lil box we had from last year will be an up rail wich will be a fun lil jib.
 
I got the metal from Industrial Metals in Red Deer and I welded it with a $150 garage sale arc welder that we've had forever.
 
arc weld?... seems alittle thin for arc but whatever. If i bought some metal could i use your arc welder
 
i say we should have a ski party at erics house this year every one should bring a rail and it will be better then canyon but erics house right no is already better then canyon

 
If you bought the metal you could use our welder, but you'd probably have to weld it at our house unless you have one of those really big power plugins. Also, princess auto will get you an arc welder for 100 bucks.

Whenever we get snow I'll get all you guys over to my house, you can only come if you bring me something fricken' tasty to eat though.
 
I did the entire thing myself so I guess I'm pretty good at welding. I'm nowhere near as good as Taylors dad would be but I get the job done and the rails are really sturdy.
 
Or maybe it adds more fun? Why don't you stop combing your mustache and getting tickled by your daddies beard and go try it?
 
haha, TAKE THAT paul... anyways they are rails paul not jumps so, it would be more like 270 or 450 than 360...jeeze stupid. it going to snow this week in calgary and its high of 6 tomorrow, high of 3 for thursdya nad friday.
 
ya i heard a little bit about it supposed to be raining this week to too. But the i listened to the radio and it said that it would just rain

I cut them with a chop saw. But at industrial metals they'll cut it for you if you don't have a saw. I want to go to Canyon and ask them if they'll pay for the metal then I'll weld some rails for free.
