My time out in Jackson

dude how awesome was JH? I had the best fucking week of my life. i cant wait to go back. First night there, we went to McPhails burgers right across from our hotel (painted buffalo) and the owner came out and sat down with us and told us everything we needed to know. later that night, we helped jump a guys car, and he paid us back with beer. The locals were so sick. The skiing was incredible. I'm considering moving there when i graduate. one of the best places on earth!!!

Its pretty sweet. Checked out snake river brewery, silver dollar grill, and the snake river uhh expensive one.

The skiing is awesome. 4k vert was really nice. Targhee was sweet. Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and smaller crowds. Jackson is a bit like a Disney. Which is good and bad.

I like how jacksons peak has less traffic up to it compared to snowbird. Snowbird has the tram and 2 other chairs dumping people right out on hidden peak and its just crazy capacity from the peak down.

Jackson was the best week of my life, we didn't get any pow, but you can't complain when your skiing 4kvert/40degree bumps laps in +20C weather. Also, watching people huck and fall all the way down Corbetts is the best.

I loveed Jackson but hated the dust on crust conditions in areas. 1st day the mountain got baked and warmed up. The season turned that day for Jackson maybe with what people told me was the first real taste of spring. Turned everything to ice ya, and a storm came in and it never warmed up - or deposited a ton of snow at mid elevations. So things were blowing up top, but barely accumulating in the hobacks.

I had not much luck finding awesome conditions from top to bottom always. The bowl up top was great, but those bottom 2k feet was a crap shoot. I blame it my lack of knowledge of the area though. Where the protected pockets were, etc....

Im still brewing over where I think everything lines up, and if I will return to SLC or Jackson first......
