My take on hostel

no good. and not scary. not even gory. an hour before i watched it i watched baghdad er and that shit was intense and real. hostel is fucking weak. i watched the whole thing while eating cheesy gooey a meatball sub. it sucked. not scary not disturbing not gross at fucking all
 
Yeah cause whenever you go see a movie named "Saw" "Saw 2" "House of wax" or "Hostel" you expect a movie that will be deeply moving and have smart jokes.

its a horror movie dude its just a movie made to have a girl grab on to you for protection, no other reason.

and just the thought of waking up in your boxers tied to a metal chair with a guy who wants nothing else than to drill you and do things to you is pretty sick and twisted.

not defending it because I didnt like it but I dont like horror movies in general. im just tired of people going to see a movie and not knowing what to expect.
 
well, given the fact that they worked it up to be the best "horror" movie ever, i expected the best horror movie ever. and when i saw it, and it sucked balls and my girlfriend was laughing during it, i kinda thought it wasn't what they made it out to be, therefore it didn't stand up to all the hype, just like i said in my first post
 
fuck you. a horror movie can be amazing if done right. this movie sucked cock.when i put it on i thought it would be shocking and disgusting but it wasent. where the fuck did i say i was excpecting it to have good jokes and be deeply moving
 
I agree horror movies can be great. but a summer horror flick is not going to be one of those movies. you can tell how movies are going to be.

from the trailers of all 3 Hostel Saw and Saw 2 you can tell that all 3 movies are going to just be a series of young adults being killed in very original nasty ways as captives.
 
saw was really good

hostel was pretty cool but could have been done a lot better and made scarier. i liked the part when he cut off her eyeballs
 
i just watched it a couple nights ago and i thought it was gonna be a good scary movie like saw, but it just sucked because the story line was soo shitty, and the stuff wasn't even that gross. the movie just sucked, and im disappointed.
 
what would have made that movie scary as shit would have been at the end when the screen goes to black the words

"this story was based on actual events"

those words tend to make movies so much better. for example "God of War" was a pretty kick ass movie. and when those words apeared it became even more of a kick ass movie.
