So here goes...

If you live in MA you've probably heard the awful things of Ski Bradford. For those of you that are fortunate enough to live nowhere near it, your lucky. It has a few trails, with about 350 foot vertical drop from top to bottom. It's even got a "Boarding Park"

heres a lil pic:

So I grew up chasing gates at Bradford. I also raced for my highschool team there, but not too competitively. This evening I had to drive my little bro over to the hill for practice. When I got there I thought about it, hmm why not take a few runs. So I look in my backseat and I only have my Seth Vicious, this should be fun i thought to myself. GOD WAS I WRONG. I went up the lift and saw my old coaches and said what up and all that stuff. My coaches start ragging on me for my skis. I come back and say "at least im not a gate raper" and we have a laugh. So I was hanging around doing some skiing and helped coach a little bit too, when one of my coaches says hey how about you run the course. Since im not a pussy. I said sure.

I got in the gate with a blank stares from a bunch of racers, not knowing what to think of my idea of running a GS course on Fatty McHuge skis. I blast out of the gate and skate away just like ive done a million other times, i get around the first two gates and im feeling good. I was so surprised my skis were actually running a sheet of ice and sharp turns. Then the terror starts. I start to get late around the 4th or 5th gate and I know i cant puss out or my coaches will give me shit. so the next gate i slam though and take it off the top of my head and it wrapped around and hit my back too. This continued for the last 3 gates. i got to the bottom with my coaches laughing hysterically.

They said it was awesome that i ran the whole thing, it just looked like shit.

so my face hurt and so did my back and i told them to go prance around in their spandex.

All in all, If you own a pair of fat skis, dont try to be hardcore and show up your old coaches, youll only end up like me.

i once tried to ski a slalom race on pocket rockets because the snow was wet and thick...suffice to say i missed the 3rd gate and was DQ'd for the rest of the race.

Haa,bummer dude. Ya know what would have been key?? Bomb next to the gates switch then get to the bottom and flip off your coaches.

i took my twins out for the first time in 2 weeks last night(after being on race skis for a while) and i coudlnt beleive it. skiing on edgeless skis is hard. i guess you just get used to it and i never realy noticed it.

i raced last year and i allwanted to take my twin and do a run switch but i figured my coach would kill me. this yea i judt didn't join and im free to ski
