My skis are extremely sticky on rails!?!?

Hey guys the title basically says it all. I just got back to hitting rails in a long time. I have brand new skis and so do my friends. My friends had no problem hitting rails, but my skis were just way to sticky. Any help +K

I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive gummy stones are just used to clean up your edges after you've filed them down. I don't think they actually do much when it comes to rounding off the edges.

Use a file haha the one I have was like 25 bucks. There are a lot of videos online that show you what to do. It's not hard! And then you can use your gummy stone to clean it up!

Or you could take them to a shop and ask them to detune them for you! Make sure you tell them just your underfoot though, you wanna still be able to turn on ice and all that. Depending on how much they charge though, you might just wanna invest in a file and learn how to do it for yourself!

this is what I did.

and then I took a pair into the shop for complete roundness because fuck turning and its actually a lot of fun.

Increase the degree of bevel on your base edge Dont listen to these morons and ruin a brand new pair of skis with an angle grinder holy shit bad advice batman.
