So guys here's my season edit. I know I'm not great, I'm not going to post this saying "I'M THE BEST SKIER EVER YOU ALL SUCK." Really what I'm looking for is three things:

How can I improve my skiing?

What can be done better with the editing?

What did you like/dislike about the edit in general?

So yeah, thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback! Other comments are always welcome.

I'm not going to comment on how you can improve your skiing, because you're far better than me, and I think you're great as it is. Editing and everything was nice, except you used too much film burn and at the wrong times, could have done with a bit of colour correction especially 1:43. 1:54 was nice, I like transitions like that. Also on the rails(and I'm guilty of this too) I feel you should have kept most of the rails at normal speed, or only slightly slowed down, and the jumps were good in slow motion, but could have been a BIT faster. Also this isn't your fault at all, and it's not really anyone fault it's just I thought the song really lost it once It went deep.

You've got a great bag of tricks, I think you should focus on style. That being said, I did like some of your jibs and creativeness. On spins, throw in some variations of grabs, I only saw one or two. The editing was a little slow for me, really good filming though. The intro was way too long, it kinda built up for a huge trick which turned out to just be an awkward 9. Just my opinion.

Yeah my friend did all the editing and I'm always telling him to speed things up a bit haha. But thanks for the feedback guys!

i agree with the others about it being way to much slow mo. it worked in perfectly with the intro but once the intro was over, you should not have used that much slow-mo. I also really liked the intro and the song was pretty good too. im not hating at all on your skiing because you are no doubt better than me, but you should learn to get onto a rail switch. good luck dude

Switch rails is like the one thing I can't do haha and I've completely acknowledged it. I really need to get that next year. I can really only switch 2 on, that's it. But thanks for the feedback man!

sweet! awesome skiing!

all the shot in the edit are moving mayebe you can take some shots with the camera is on the same place and stands still?

but the editing is sweet :)

Ahh thanks man! But I agree, the only problem is we only have a wide angle lens for the T3i, so moving shots look better. We're trying to get a telephoto so we can do better shots, thanks for the tip though!

Great job! Here's my critique:

Skiing: Put some smaller, more stylish spins in the edit, maybe some nice 3's or floaty 5's. Also possibly start to learn spinning right since you can pretty easily do left 9's. On the rails, try and get a little lower / spread your legs (helps out with balance and grip).

Edit: As the other people said, less slo-mo, but otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Overall great job!

i thought the editing was really good, a little slow, but not even bad i liked it, the filming was very good, just work on style, thats all i gatt a say! and i ski at waterville every weekend!

it was awesome! i agree with everthing everyone else has said but i have one thing to add. maybe some more pow. you had the one shot which shows you can ski pow, and do (i assume) so put some more in there. otherwise, great edit, much better than mine haha
