You posted Night&Day a little while back and i loved it then had to go to class i exited out and couldnt find the the thread, thank you for posting again. You have some really sick stuff. It pleases my ears and pinto gold is literally one of the dopest fucking artist names ever.

I'm a fucking fan of pinto gold.

 
first one was pretty sick, only think I wasn't so stoked on was the bass drum.2nd one was great I remember that one from the other thread.

wasn't a fan of the 3rd to be honest.

when people make beats it's either sampled (taking small parts from other songs and turning them into stuff like the 2nd song) or synthesized with programs like pro tools. people don't usually record instrumentals anymore but sometimes they do. it's better when they record mostly.
 
That is better than a lot of people who have labels man. I am definitely looking forward to more. Shared it too
 
Anyone can do it. You can use FL Studio, Reason, Ableton, a stand alone MPC or a myriad of other programs. I personally use FL Studio (combined with a drum machine) because I like the layout of it, everything is super organized. Sometimes I make instrumentals (I'll post another one on here shortly) but I've found that you can get much more interesting sounds out of samples and they're just way more fun to mess around with once you have them all chopped up. I then taking the samples and arrange them in a way that I'm stoked on and then throw some drums over it and maybe some low end bass.

Made this one a while ago - I really liked skiing to it, it has a nice flow for cruisin around.
 
first and second were the best, Night and Day is probably my favorite.

Third wasn't my favorite, but i think it could be improved upon.

really like red oak, I was really supprised by these, that now a days every kid with a mac thinks hes a dj and can make awesome 'tracks'

Sick tracks man, maybe a little too slow and loopy for the average listener these days (too much musical ADHD). But, you're the artist.
 
Those are so sick! Night and Day was my favorite. I think it would be so cool if you could put a bit more of a motif, (or however you spell that) in. The beats are sick, but I think that I could follow better with a motif or just like a progression rather than just a beat. You could even mix a few in and out of a song to keep it fresh. Good work man.
 
Fair enough. I make my beats to be rapped over by my friends, which is why they mind sound like they are 'missing an ingredient' to some people.
