So i recently posted up this edit I just made on my mountain's facebook page, and got a real nice comment by them in return. Check the ender.

This is their response,Hey, Drew. While we love the visuals in the video, we're a family-friendly mountain -- with a family-friendly facebook page -- and we're not digging the lyrics (or the cursing at the kid in the end of the video). The boss tells me to keep this page clean, and that means that George Carlin's 7 Dirty Words are pretty much off-limits. While we love it when folks share photos and videos on our wall, we're hereby announcing our one and only rule: Keep it clean, safe, and fun!

yea that was probably pushing it a little.
but other than that, it's bullshit. i would suggest writing back on their wall about how you're sorry that they don't appreciate free advertising.
 
how about the guy is right and you should change it if you want it to be placed on a website of a large demographic and age bracket. It's their personal website and they can delete whatever they want. if you want to be on their page, abide by their rules.. clean and simple..
 
Obviously they want to be a family resort. And wannabes telling little kids to f*** off do probably not belong to this group.

yeah honestly the more i think about it, this is probably the part that made them more mad than anything. it's one thing to have kids putting songs over footage on their own time and posting it on a facebook page, where anybody can literally post anything, and most people who are on facebook have seen/heard much worse, but if i were a parent i'd be pretty pissed to find out that kids were yelling shit at my little kid who is just trying to have fun. although that would never be my kid, i will be pissed as shit if my kid ends up being a gaper.
 
Do you actually not understand where they are coming from? You have to be retarted if you don't get why they are not stoked on a video with constant swearing and harrasment of a young kid on their public info page.

I seriously cannot stand when people pull shit like you did a the end. That kid can't be older than 6 and you or your friend gets enraged at him for snaking. Are you kidding me? So weak. You're portraying such a negative image of the culture, shit like that is why kids are so standoffish and lame to each other in the park.

You probably didn't abide by "park code" when you were that age.

I'm really grasping at straws as to why you chose to put that in your edit.
 
I loled at the yelling part at the end. Happens way to much and people who ride over lips of jumps are annoying. It didnt look like the kid heard him because he didnt look back or anything, but i agree with most everyone else, if i planned on putting this on their page i wouldnt have included it in the video. But otherwise i didnt mind it.

sorry man but thats not something to post on a mountains facebook pages. gives off the vibe that theres just a bunch of dickheads in the park.
 
my old mountain removes posts critical of the park or really critical to them at all. Even just asking if they plan to reshape features in the near future gets deleted.
 
yeah we thought were real badass... its in the end cause its funny dude, obviously you dont have a sense of humor, and I didnt post it cause of my friend screaming at a little kid, its just an edit

cool edit man, but ya, in the long scheme of things, probably not great music for a resort. the percentage of people that actually like that kind of music that go skiing, believe it or not, is actually pretty small. and ya, like everyone else said, the whole kid thing was kinda dump to put in if you wanted to get it on their wall.

Nothing is funny about it. I do have a sense of humor and teenagers cursing at small kids who have no idea what they are doing doesn't really make me laugh. I don't know what sort of sense of humor you have? It's pretty sad if you think that is funny.

I stopped the edit before it even got the the "ender" that everyone is talking about. The park is not a ghetto, it's a pleasant place. Make a video that makes it look pleasant and enjoyable.
 
Not funny at all. Next time you scream profanity at a child, I want you to think to yourself. "am I acting like a piece of shit right now?" The answer will be yes.
 
Next time you feel like doing something because you think it's funny, stop and ask yourself: "Is this funny, or is it just funny to me?" Because that wasn't funny, that was just your friend being an asshole.

And, did you seriously need to make a thread about how your mountain didn't like this edit? Obviously it wasn't going to fly, and they are completely doing the right thing taking this down.
 
It would have been far more reasonable to remove your edit on the basis that the song was absolutely terrible, not on the use of profanities.

Either way skinnier stances are better looking than a stance that is stretching your groin muscles. That's for jump/pipe jocks.

but yeah, op, its no surprise that it got taken down, funny or not youre screaming fuck you at a 5 year old in a video that you posted to the promotional facebook page for your mountain. do you understand what negative exposure is?
 
If I were you, I would just not-so-subtly edit out all the swears, replacing them with voiceovers of yourself

 
I remembered seeing this and thinking to myself- is this person retarded? Of course that shits not gonna fly, and no I don't feel bad for you at all that the mountain took the video down. You gotta remember that lots of people hate park skiers, or freeskiers in general. Add that to the song and the dumbass comment at the end and I'd say you deserve a nomination.
