My grandpa just gave me his WWII leather pilot-jacket

Sorry to lame this out, but my Grandpa wasn't actually a pilot. He was however a spy, and part of the Norwegian resistance force division of the British Army. Not sure if he was actually part of the RAF...

But he used to get flown in over Norway by the RAF, then jumped out and parashooted down behind enemy lines, collected shitloads of information and sent it back to Britain. So still pretty bad-ass.

just became more badass due to the story.

Being a bomber pilot is one thing, but getting out of the plane over enemy territory is a whole different thing.

Thats awesome.

My grandfather just gave me two blood stained silk Japanese flags signed by everyone in his Marine division when they invaded Guadalcanal. Ill post a pic later.

your gramps is a badass! you're very lucky to get such an awesome gift !and it's not even christmas yet ! :D

Take care of that jacket, its without question priceless. My grandfather served in WWII aswell and he left me alot of his medals and uniform. All of it is irreplaceable.

cool man. my grand father was a bombadeer, and he got shot down over holland. some dutch family kept him in the attic of a house that was being used as a nazi outpost. when it started to get too dangerous for the family he lived in a covered hole out in the forest near the house. the family would come during the day to give him food. he made it back home and became a minister and had the family which got me here today.

threads, can't wait to see some pics. This kid I know has his grandfather's Jap rifle that he brought back.

thats super cool, take great care of that for sure! My grad dad let me try on his military uniforms on when i was little before he died, it was awesome.

Yeah that's it, anyway he never really talked about it but I guess his plane got shot down and he was taken as a POW somewhere in Russia.

Will schnaps some phot-hoes. Although the jacket in itself is not all that special, it's the story behind it that makes it awesome.

My great grandpa was in a biker gang type thing in the army during WWII and would just drive city to city with nothing but machine guns and a side car full of ammo and give cover fire to advancing troops. He'd stay for like two days or until he was out of ammo and then leave to go get more and do it again.

Ultimate bad assery.

thats pretty cool. im pretty sure my grandpa flew spitfires for the RAF, but not entirely sure about details

You lookin to pawn it or sell it?I got a buddy who can come down to the shop, take a look at it, and tell us a bit more about it and we can go from there okay?

my great uncle was a fighter pilot but he was shot down and never found. now in memory there is a street named after him

my grandpa passed down to me two nazi knives that he picked off dead soldiers. its scary holding one, thinking that it probably killed someone once.

thats just beyond awesome, my grandpa has all his guns in his basement.... pretty cool i think.oh, and picssss

Here are the flags I was talking about.

Tom Donohue, the name on the top of one of them is my Grandfather.
