My girlfriends dad makes some pretty amazing stuff out of wood and i thought these canoe paddles were pretty amazing, so i thought i'd share with all of you.

He has been making them forever just for fun and for gifts for the family. He just the other day sold his first one.

The second on in from the left is pretty neat. I enjoy canoeing once in a while, mostly just of local ponds/rivers, but canoe fishing can be interesting as well.
Tell him he should start a small venture selling those, pretty awesome!

Here are two more. the one on the left is a childs paddle and the one on the left is a bent shaft
these are both a little older so they have some wear and tear unlike the other ones i posted

yes he can make you one, but the material isnt cheap, and its quite time consuming so, he has to sell them to reflect that.
As for the gentleman himself:
His name is Rex, born in madison wisconsin. When he was 13 his mom single mother walked out on him and the other 2 kids, so he's been living on his own since he started high school. From there he spent a fair amount of time working in california in the summers, then moved to germany for his final year high school where he dabbled in theatre and excellent beer. ended up going to college t the university of madison wisconsin. now he's a carpenter. haha thats a pretty summarized history of Rex lol

they are, wisconsin doesn't have real intense canoeing so as far as padding around the lakes and rivers here they hold up very well. these ones tho are pretty artsy
