Xbox 360 is making a humming buzz sound. Anyone know how to make it stop? I tried putting pressure on it and it stopped for a bit and then came back.

Mine was doing this a few months ago.

Wrap it in a towel and put it in the microwave for 4 seconds with 2 second breaks between each cycle. Do this until you feel the towel really start to heat up, probably to around 120 degrees. It should be all good after this.

sounds like the humming is a disc drive issue. I recommend, if you are ok with opening your xbox, to open the xbox and tighten the screws that keep the dvd drive in place. Just my $.02. If that doesn't work it is probably the fans kicking into high rpm.

youre gonna need to take it out of the case and remove the plastic strip underneath the processor labelled "system 32." it should be just to the left of the power button.

Get a bunch of your friends and ejaculate into to disc drive. It probably won't fix it, but youll feel relaxed and realize your true sexual orientation

Fill a bucket up with water, and drop it in. There's no way you'll be able to hear it humming when it's underwater.
