Hey guys I posted a while back saying I was going to buy an fs 700 set up and that I would show yall some pictures.

Heres a little photo of the basic rig I use, follow focus is not installed or LED light so its very minimal.

also here is my first video shot on the fs700 that I can actually show you guys. I had fun shooting with the 2:35 1 markers, they are a huge help!

that was epic, i think it would of been sicker if you focused in on the french inhale, instead of it being out of focus, but still that was sick. K+

yah twas pretty un predicted, just went with it and figured I would put it in since its not a very serious project. its just for shits and gigs. But I definately agree with you.

First thoughts about actually using the camera:

1: amazing low light, like no problem at 1600 iso, 32000 is not a big deal.

2: holy dynamic range batman! especialy with properly used picture profiles, I gained so much latitude in my shots!

with a camera that big you should try to mount it as close to your shoulder as possible.

the problem with the fs700 is the controls, you are absolutely right but its not usable when its close. The buttons are just horribly in-accessible. I needed to shift it to the right and thats why my counter weight is so far back and to the left.

Do you have a lens support on that rig? I cant tell if you have one at the adapter or not either way, if the lens is over 1kg you should have some support on there.

dude just use twixtor... why would you spend so much moneys for slow motion when you can just do twixtor?

TROLOLOL. Super awesome that you got a fs700! Hopefully one is in my future!

I dont have one at the moment, Im considering it, it seems borderline to me. The lens switch would be a complete pain so I would like to avoid it as much as possible.

Maybe the fs700 is stronger (doubtful) but the fs100 mount is very weak and ive heard a ton of stories where people had to send their shit in because their mount became loose. If the lens is over 1000g id get a support, IMO

stabilize the lens! trust me, you don't want all that stress on your mount all the time! it's an investment in the longevity of the camera.

Already got one of a finger snap and its realy boring. Slowmotion is mostly interesting with things that show great energy and unpredictability.

This, I just thought it was 200 for hd embedding, absolutely no chance ever, 60 would be a slight possibility if I ever need it

No its like 68$ after tax which is around 5$ a month.

Which is completely understandable, for the customer service they have, and to be able to constantly upload drafts in full HD. I love vimeo plus.

I presume he meant $9.95 a month if you do it singularly, don't know why anyone would though, yeah it's $60 for a year, are the taxes just an american thing? dependant on state?

vimeo plus is amazing, i never have to wait for HD load ups, and you dont have to worry about the 500mb a week bull shit

Sick man! Thats awesome!! One question about the FS700 or FS100 tho, Does it have a record limit like a DSLR has. For example does it shut off after x amount of minutes recording. Also have any of you used a metabones adapter?

it is a regular camcorder but with a bigger sensor. it can record until your memory is full and it is awsome. The metabones adaptor feels great, it just becomes a part of your camera. super good quality

That's a fine looking setup. If the FS700 is built anything like the Epic I wouldn't stress not using a stabilizer.
