YOOO i got my first tattoo this morning, cr's quote: "the joy I get from skiing, thats worth dying for." on my ribs to my side, its a fuckey feeling haha. anyone else got dope tattoos

its a respected quote from a very well respected skier. actually really interested in how it looks.

lyrics, dragons, tramp stamp, symbols with no reasoning behind them... those get shit on.
 
Theres alot of meaning behind this tattoo, its not just me liking the quote. It's undescribable how I felt skiing, It's all I wanted to do. I don't come from a wealthy family so I gave up every summer since I was 12 to work every day, as long as I could buy a pass for the mountain, a bus pass, coaching, and a bit of gear if i had money for it I was set. I have been battleing head injuries for about two years now, I'm still on the healing stage, been off skis since january, I can't quite weightlift yet. Chill jogs is my prime right now, I respect CR for what he contributed to our sport. Best highlight of my skiing was the feeling I got when I landed that flat 7 screamin, but anyways MUCH LOVE peeps. keep killin it, I cant wait to do some turns on a groomed run!

JSpencer... you sir are the soul of this skiing community. I give you two thumbs way up for the tattoo and for the meaning behind it. Furthermore I hope your head heals quickly because i cant wait to see the stuff you drop this season.

I hope that i am the first to say this.. but if this year you can compete in Mr. Olson video comp... You have my vote. Style unrivaled.
 
I love the idea of the tattoo, not a big fan of the font but it's a great idea, and I love the placement.

I've been thinking about getting the same quote around my ankle for quite a while, CR will always be such an inspiration not just in skiing but in general life, having that much passion for something is so amazing.

If I may ask why under the nipple? Most people I know with something like that on them kinda have it on the front of their shoulder covering the area between their shoulder and chest.
 
any other tag line and you kids would be all over this kid calling his tattoo dumb. you skier kids are seriously mental.

Completely unorignal. Think of something on your own for a tatto, don't take the single most famous skiing quote. Especially without giving credit. Don't you want a tattoo to mean something to you, not to half the freeskiing world?

Also, why is the first letter of every word capitalized?
 
most people go to a tattoo artist and pick something out of a book, im not too worried this quote was said by someone else because i feel it applies to me significantly and dont i want a tattoo that means something to me? yea this does meen alot to me, you must not have read my explanation with the picture. and the first letter in every world capitalized was the artists decision as well as keeping CR's name out of it so that when people ask about it I can tell them the story behind it. and yes its right by my heart.

Thats so sick. i'm inspired to get that when i am old enough. it's such an inspirational quote from an inspirational skier who was taken from us way to early.

 
My buddy drew this up for me the other day, it's gonna be my first. Put the deposit down for a re-draw the other day. I'm getting it on my forearm without the guy behind the camera.
