My First Ski Edit

i dont know if no comment is good or bad but thanks for the embed! and when i said first edit i meant first one I have edited myself, not first edit of myself

constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

You definitely have some great shots in there, but you are lacking the main aspect to an edit, which is flow. Without transitions you can't establish the change in the shot. You also lack variation which is really key. It might not always be possible, but you could have a friend at the base of the cliff filming you as well, whether that is a helmet mount, or preferably a regular camcorder. It really smoothens up the edit, with a change in angle.

I really liked everything about the skiing in this though, you are very good. What program are you using to edit?

I thought that was a pretty entertaining go pro edit, not much more. lots of pow, pillows and drops.

not a whole lot of thought, just action. not much to critique.

pretty sure klint posted this to their fb page too.

thanks! I am using premiere pro since i was able to get it for free, but i am very novice at it and need to work out scene changes and whatnot

From a non film makers stand point I thought it was sick to watch. Edits that are just POV footy I watch 1/2 of and generally end up going to a new edit because it was the same thing over and over, but not this one some how. You made those skis look supper fun btw.

Nice man! Yeah I really enjoyed it. Premiere pro can be a really good program once you get the hang of it.

All you really need are the basic transitions. Cross dissolve is one of the best and simplest ones to use
