My first edit.

So i made my first edit and i want some input on how it is.

I know wrong forum but all the guys in ski gabber tend to be pricks

Not bad I guess. I thought that was too long because there wasn't much variety with only a couple rails. Probably could have cut out a lot of those tricks that weren't as cool as the better ones.I'd say 2 to 3 minutes is a good length to keep people interested enough to maybe watch the whole thing. Unless it's upvoted like crazy or i know that i like their other videos i usually don't watch an edit over that length.

just a heads up, the people in NSG tend to be even bigger pricks than in SG. And furthermore, this edit should be in the Media and Arts form. The edit itself had a few good shots, but the filming and song choice were poor. Try to find a better song, the one you chose had no rhythm with the skiing and felt out of place. There were way to many shots that could have been cut, nobody wants to sit through a 5 and a half minute of people falling off rails early. The actual edits could have been worse, but in general they were not great. Try to stick with only simple transitions.

I think its good for a first edit. If you're looking for advice, I suggest: more variety in terms of tricks(its hard with this edit since you only have two features to use)not as long

throw in some slow motion/fast motion or other effects, and clips that go with the beat of the music

maybe some audio of the rail sliding

didn't realize who you were until i checked ns tonight.

wish you had said hi at the jam today, i was the kid in the red flannel and the camera, would have been more than happy to give you some ideas on how to make an edit.

watched it earlier and apart from this being in NSG

>it needs to be shorter,

>stick to including things people actually land

>watch out for choppin heads

>more variety in shots

just right off the bat. i think i saw you filming this with a flip so no hate on that quality.

Until you get better at editing and special effects kinda stuff, stay away from dubstep. Pretty decent for your first edit though.

Should have had ski blade guy as opener. Stop listening/using to dub step. Can't go wrong with the wu tang like every ski edit ever on this site but sounds better than robots having sex.

Just for future reference dubstep is an extremely hard genre to pull off in an edit. Hip hop is probably the easiest genre to pull off.
