Hey guys, this is my first edit I've ever posted here and I'm looking for a little feedback. It was really fun to make and hopefully I can keep filiming and editing and get really good at it. I filmed it with a Canon 5d Mark 2 and I edited it in Final Cut Pro.

PS I suck at embedding so k+ for whoever can help me embed, and ill leave the link just in case.

thanks guys! any feedback helps

The intro was sick I'm still working on intros but just try and put something in between frames when its a little rough. like a fade to black or white depending on how dark or light the background is. good job man

thanks man! I was experimenting with like quick cuts but in other edits ill try to blend the shots together more.

K+ for the embed but thanks for the feedback, anybody have any constuctive criticism?

Thought the intro was sickkk! and then the diving board clips were a little dark, but contrary to what @ChaseW said, I think that the fading from clips to clips seemed unnecessary for this type of edit. The vibe was real sweet definitely grabbed my eye. And finally the song went very good with the edit.

I dont really know if you understood this but there ya goo!

that was really good for a first editthe shot at 0:20 you cant tell the difference between the water and the edge of the pool in the bottom right corner

I liked the song choice and was edited well with the songs

The more you learn the editing tools your using the more you can "creative" with your editing. Try and learn how to edit, what effects you can use, ect. while your filming and it will make for a much better final result.

Just because I say "better" doesn't mean this was bad, pretty damned good actually haha. Good job man.

Really fantastic first edit! Way better than my first edit haha.

One critique was that some of the diving board shots seemed a little over exposed, or too bright, but that is something you can fix when your editing, or by changing your aperture if you have a camera that can do so.

But again, great job!

Thanks everyone, probably filming again soon so hopefully I'll have something else up soon. I think I'm gonna try to fix up the colors on the pool shots they do look a little off. Sorry if the footage was a little dull neither me nor my friend are masters of the slackline haha and have only been doing it for like a month but whatever I tried to keep it short so I didn't bore you guys.
