My dog loves snow sports

here she is going full send down a gnarly line

UPDATE.

Hey sorry for the late bump. Just a heads up for anyone bringing there dog in the Backcountry. I was always hyper aware of the possibility of her hitting the edge on my skis or snowboard. Despite all this we had a terrible incident a few weeks ago. Her leg was cut where her Achilles and muscle meet along with a major vein. Blood was everywhere and they said if she was smaller dog bleeding to death would have been very likely. She was able to get into a vet within about an 2 hours after the incident and is now on the mend for the next 6 months or so.

Hindsight being 20/20 I would have been a bit more firm with her training. A shock collar even for anytime she darts in front and some treats when she follows properly.

Just some words of caution.

We need more threads about dogs and less threads arguing about newave.

Quality thread. My dog attacks me whenever I show her skiing though so consider yourself lucky.

she does that every once in a while but shes getting better

Wow your dog is amazing haha

I brought my dog while hitting urban for the first time this winter and she had a great time. We were in a schoolyard and she kept running all over the place and she would continuously steel snow blocks from our shovels when we were trying to build the lip.

Lmao I’m gonna try that

Damn dude. I am sorry to hear that. Looks like she has some fucking fun out there though. Get her healed up and back out there (safely of course)!

Thanks so much for the concern. Yea nothing else really gets her as hyped as winter sports. She's done a bunch of the Backcountry lines in our area that are out of reach for a lot of skiiers.
