My Dad's Patients bring him Pot

Yet another Pot thread.

So my dead is a Physical Therapist. He has a lot of patients that have their Medical Card (Michigan) and grow pot for themselves as well as others (Caretaker status). So my dad brings like a 2 gram bag stuffed into a film case (The small cylindrical ones that make a vacuum) that a patient gave to him as a type of "gift".

So he shows it to me and I tell them the basics of it and all, because he doesn't know anything about pot other than old school propaganda. I personally don't smoke pot because it just isn't my thing and I sorta don't know what to do since my dad keeps talking about wanting to smoke or it to use oil for himself and my mom because they just want to try it or something like that.

Am I being weird about him wanting to try pot for no reason or what?
 
yeah you're kinda being weird about it. like, what else would he do with free weed? and why wouldn't you be okay with your parents sparking up a doobie
 
OP, your parents sound pretty chill if they're down for trying it. I would personally have no problem with it, but I smoke weed anyway so that might be a little biased. Also what say do you have, you're their kid... But maybe...

I'm sorta against it since they would be huge hypocrites. They scared me into not doing it until later on in high school, and even then I was terrified about what would happen if they learned that I even touched the stuff.

Its the hypocrisy that is the big issue to me, but I suppose I should just not care about it, they are in their 60's so its w/e I guess.

You don't say that! My mom is a Saint, and my dad has a Heart condition so that isn't happening, nice try. As long as I'm not the only one with parents that decided to experiment like that.
 
Do you know how rare it is to find parents who smoke pot that are willing to with their kids? Take advantage of it and bond with your dad over a smooth blunt.

That's the thing, I don't think they want to do it with me since I'm still young (21) and they don't want Pot to eat away at my mind. They are about to retire soon (probably) and will have nothing else to do. I just sorta don't care at this point. They know themselves better than I do and I'm sure they will end up not liking it.

If you dont want to so be it but it wont hurt to ask. I know kids whos parents have smoked with their kids and some of the dads in my town smoke with other dads. Tell them to smoke a bong and after 1 or 2 hits Im certain theyll love it. Maybe even sell to your stoner friends for $10-12 per G and make straight profit.

I will say, I wouldn't do that with my parents but they aren't like that.

I have smoke with a bunch of my friends parents and my wife's parents. It is actually a great bonding experience. This is how my mother in law and I get along so well now.

When you're older you'll regret pushing away from any father son activities your dad tried to do with you. He's trying to be there for him, trying to do things as a family.

He's probably smoking it in his room alone thinking "Why doesn't my son love me?"
 
Pot is medicine for a reason, no matter the age, or who you are it's honestly a great idea, and I would be surprised if your parents didn't love it after trying, since theyre interested. There's so many great things to come from smoking pot, and very little negative things.

In life, you're constantly learning new things everyday. It's ok to change a stance on something or at least try it. The worse that will happen is your dad will curl up in a ball in the corner and cry for your mom to coddle him. Let them open their minds to new things. Perfectly healthy, especially with something as harmless as smoking pot.

when my folks found my stash they went nuts but then eventually calmed down, but mum still thinks its funny to make the occasion joke towards me when it comes up in convo, i'd love to get her high with me over some rad music and a drink, i was 22 when they found it, 24 now

now quit being a shit son and blaze with your dad. Protip - buy munchies first
 
Story time

My friend and his brother baked brownies. Their parents were on vacation. They ended up baking another batch but forgot about them/left them in the oven. His parents came home, his dad found them when he was going to cook some dinner. My friend came in from working on his car while his dad was finishing up his 3rd one.

Friend said "Don't eat any more of those, they're really old, they might make you sick." Ended up getting "sick" AKA high as fuck. Laying upstairs in bed. Decided he was going to go to the hospital. My friend owned up to his mom that the brownies had weed in them and his dad was just high as fuck. His mom convinced him to chill out and the next day he felt fine.

His dad still doesn't know he was high as fuck.
