My current top 10 bands

so im a complete bluegrass and oldtime junkie, when i go to a show, im usually the youngest person there by 20 years. that said i am really stoked on a lot of new bands. they are listed below and are in no particular order, other than numbering them helps to keep track.

1. kings of leon, these guys are the shit and i love them.

2 overseer (mark abma and tj in claim nuff said)

3. band of horses, they are the definition of chill imo.

4. blind melon are the kings of early 90's rock imo.

5. cloud cut, an awesome minnesnota band and were even in andrea's hatveit segment in claim

6. the darkness, never really got that popular but i still love them

7. Ratatat, are simply the shit

8. Track N Field, down temp is the future of jazz

9. Girl Talk, once again nuff said

10. CKY, i just cant get enough.

these are the top 10 bands i cant get enough of, and in the interest of expanding newshcoolers music intrestes i want my fellow members to post there current top ten bands, and a reason why for each of them.
 
Blue Scholars - good message, better beats, even better words

BAP - best rock music to come out of Germany

Gorillaz - just dope

Gang Starr - obviously

People Under The Stairs - some of the dopest underground hip-hop

Cut Copy - usually don't like this kind of music, but this is just too good

Ratatat - awesome

Perfect - incredibly good reggae

Beck - don't know what to say, he's just good

The Doors - classic
 
what type of music is gang star? ive never heard of them. guess i will look them up and expand my intrestes. glad too hear that some one else is digging ratatat.

2. Promoe, really really dope reggae/hip hop kinda thing

3. MGMT, their music is so happy/upbeat, its dope

4. Asmegin, crazzzzy good

5. Blue Scholars, real hip hop.

6. Boom Bap Project, blue scholars but not.

7. Eluviete, Ensiferum but better

8. Amon Amarth, nuff said

9. Tool, real music, with real meanings and well thought out lyrics and theyre soo chill

the misfits- fiend club for life

sublime- so chill. perfect for driving up the hill.

mf doom- favorite rapper

the thermals- legit portland indie. and no whining here, just awesome songs with a message

thin lizzy- don't tell me you haven't heard jailbreak or the cowboy song or bad reputation or...

why?- if you don't know, now you know

zion i- these guys have been a major ski soundtrack player since back in the day, and for good reason.

the faint- if you aren't into them yet, you're way behind and you probably are musically retarded.

Dave Matthews Band- My all time favorite. very good technical music and very unique style

Incubus- changed their sound a lot since their earlier shit but i still love it all

Jack Johnson- Chill as hell. great quiet time music lol

Stevie Ray Vaughn- my fav guitar player ever. fuckin shreds

Tenacious D- hilarious and suprisingly very talented musically

bullet for my valentine- good for gettin pumped on the mountain

kaskade- different from my usual musical preference but they have some awesome tunes

Swollen Members- solid. the have their own cool style

Neil Young- One of my favorites growin up. Still rockin in the free world

Tom Waits- I have recently been enjoying his music a lot and he sounds like no one else.3. Bob Marley and The Wailers- love reggae, and I have been listening to Bob since I was like 12.4.
