My brother in law has cancer

Hey NS, been a while since I’ve asked for help from y’all. Might be the first time I’ve ever asked this community for help in this type of situation, but my sister recently got married to her boyfriend of the last 5 years in October. This past week, Brian was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 28. He starts chemotherapy on the 18th of this month and is starting to stack up on medical bills before he even starts treatment.

I know that this past year has been rough on everybody and I don’t expect people to be throwing money towards somebody they don’t know and most likely will never meet but it would mean the absolute world to me, my family and especially my sister if you guys could find it yourself to lend a hand to my family in these trying times.

whether it’s a dollar or even a share on social media to get the word out to people so we can help my brother in law live a life that he’s just beginning without a financial burden due to medical bills, anything helps.

For a community that has done so much for me I’m hoping you can lend a hand to my family when they’re in need.

You guys are fucking awesome thank you so much. I’ve been spreading this on every outlet I’m on and you we’ve managed to get almost 4500 in a day, hoping to shatter this goal in the future but this means the world to me!!! Thank you SO MUCH ❤️❤️

Update, broke the goal of 10,000 in just over 2 days. The goal has now been lifted to 15,000. I appreciate all of you that have contributed and shared this. Means the absolute world to my fam
 
Bump. Update from the gofundme:

Today Brian had his first session of chemotherapy. Brian said he is feeling good and that chemo went by smoothly. He was a little nervous at first, but he was excited to get started and beat cancer. The staff at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center here in Erie was extremely nice and helped relieved a lot of his anxiety around his first day. His first session lasted a total of five hours and he passed the time by listening to music and a podcast. Brian also took a nap during the time and talked to other cancer patients who were seated near him. After his chemotherapy appointment, he had an EKG done to check on his heart since his heart rate was fast. His next chemotherapy session will be on March 4th, which will hopefully be shorter. Overall, his first session went well. He is feeling tired but doing everything he can to stay positive. Brian also wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the love, support, and prayers. He has been blown away by the number of people that have shown him how important he is. Brian is forever grateful to everyone for coming together during this tough time for him. More updates will be coming soon!
 
Lots of love and prayers from my family, doing what I can to help out. I have 1 sister and 2 sister in laws going through cancer at this moment. Fuck cancer
