So i'm currently rocking these crappy marker squires and ive broke the brake on it like 3 times in one month, so i'm looking for an upgrade,

anyone know of a binding thats

> great for park

> strong

> relativally cheap

just post below thanks!

Brakes are all about the same strength, and breaking them is just something that comes along with landing switch a lot. You kinda just have to accept it.

I like the sizing of the brake being like 87mm or whatever , do you use these bindings yourself?

No I use sth16's but I really rate the attacks. I sold a tonn of them this season. They have less stack height then most other bindings an combine a great toe and heel design. I think the sth are better but if you are on a budget then the attacks are awesome.

All markers in the royal family series have brakes that are easy to replace. Griffons/jesters are great and are known for holding up much better than squires and free tens. I've never seen a pair of squires that aren't broken

No. If you're breaking brakes a lot then FKS/Pivots would be terrible because their brakes are pretty flimsy, really expensive, difficult to swap and hard to get replacements for.

check your forward pressure, if it's too low your heel will lift slightly in the binding, allowing for the brake to lower and catch (usually on switch landings when your weight is way over your toes).

haha no. I only ski FKS (besides my touring ski) bindings but I can safely say (from owning them and working in a shop) that their brakes are horrible. So easy to bend.

the problem isn't the brake's strength... it the retention and elasticity on the heel peace. every time you land switch the heel picks up slightly without kicking your boot out, and on more price point bindings this causes the brake to deploy sooner than we would like. The STH and FFG (same thing) were notorious for this and is the reason for the redesigned heal on the STH2. Your safe bets from Marker are the griffon and up, the Attack from Tyrolia is solid, and the new STH2 is better as well.

For me i use the jester, jester pro, and the Tyrolia Adrenaline. for safe measure i turn my dins up on the heel by 1 or 2 notches depending on the ski and it's purpose.

I personally would like to donate you some +K for the correct use of the words "brake" and "break". 90% of NS OPs aren't as successful with them as you are.

Oh yeah, Tyrolia's Attack is a beast.

The Look Pivot and the FKS are the exact same binding, the only difference is they're made under a different name

Tighter din will fix it (probably, don't hurt yourself also.). I had the same problem, kept landing switch, coming out of my ski and breaking the brake. Once i tightened them down, they work fine. Been riding the same pair of squires now for 2.5 seasons
