My binding is broken.. please help! :)

You can try to take the brake off and put it back on, sometimes the "teeth" pop out. Unscrew the one screw holding the brake on, then take the brake off, then put the "teeth" into the holes that they fit in (it's pretty easy to figure out, metal teeth to metal holes), then screw the screw back in. If that doesn't work, you simply need a new brake (Salmon makes 2 types of brakes that LOOK similar, but you need to be sure you have the right ones for your bindings..they look like the STH bindings, not exactly sure since I can see much of it, if that's the case you need the STH/Lab brake, otherwise you need the other brakes).

thanks yea they are salomon sth bindings.. i think i can see what you mean about the teeth.. ill unscrew it and see if i can pop it back in!

It might just be when the brake has been screwed down it was'nt lying properly in the first place. Take it off and putt the front edge (the one facing the toe) in first it kinda slips in and under and then lay the back down and screw down with the wholes matching.

That might sound confusing but like flashkick said above it will make sense if you do it/fiddle around.

Saying that those bits on the STH are really weak and weird and dont like to sit properly, the idea is apparently so the brake will brake instead of the heelpeice but leads to a lot of broken brakes.

My salomon bindings did the exact same thing. Eventually the plastic piece over the brake broke off but I left it alone and its still intact.
