My 2012 Director I Cinematography Reel

Just thought i'd share this. I grew up primarily shooting skiing and action sports, but have drifted away into other areas. There still is some skiing in here though. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any critiques/questions.

Everything in this reel was shot pretty much 50/50 on the 5DmkII and T2i, with a few 7D shots in the mix.
 
As far as the purpose of having a reel is concerned, you should consider shortening it up it to 90 seconds, at the longest.
Also it looks like you exported in 30p. I would have done 24 for a reel, but I guess that is just preference?
 
yeah for a reel, it is too long, there are allot of shots in there you could take out. Aim to have it around 60-90secs. Your edit is very slow and is actually quite hard to watch till the end. But you do have some very nice stuff, so try to decide what are your very best shots, and use only those.
 
i thought the change from warm to cool colours at 0:39 was harsh and distracting, something that can be easily fixed
 
Pretty good stuff man! Here are my comments:

The proposal shot looked really cheesy and fake to me though, I'd cut it

Some of the shots dragged on too long

one of the last shots (the kiss one) seemed awkward as well

skiing shots were $$$

colors looked pretty good
