I've been listeing to a few new bands (for me ) lately. I'm getting stoked on them... Anyone else like any of these:

Taking Back Sunday

Billy Talent

The Used

AFI

I'm about the download Finch but Ive never heard it before...

good bands, might i recommend Thrice, anything from The Artist in the Ambulance, especially the title track, Paper Tigers, or Stare at the Sun

yes, i also highly recommend thrice. their first two cds are also amazing.

i used to be a huge tbs fan but now not so much. they've gotten so big. we'll see if their sound changes any with two new members. if you like tbs, also try silverstein, thursday, finch, and thrice.

Yeah - I got a Silverstein album last week and it's pretty good - the track 'Giving Up' is awesome. This is the kind of music I'm getting into more and more. In addition to those mentioned, try:

Belvedere

Glassjaw

The Movielife (yes, they are on Drive Thru Records, and yes, their previous album and EP were pretty poppy, but none-the-less good, but their latest album, Forty Hour Train Back To Penn has a quite different feel to it - you can tell the band has matured a lot since the EP - I've seen them live twice in the past two years and they rule.

About Finch - I saw them supporting New Found Glory (I wasn't expecting much, and still they let me down - pretty poor) and The Starting Line (who were pretty average) - I didn't really like Finch much at all. Then last year I listened to their album and I liked it a lot - check it out.

YA, I was gonna download Thrice after hering Dions song from Royalty. Thanks guys. What would you calssify this music?

i recommend led zeppelim, grateful dead, doors, pink floyd, bob marley

If you have to classifiy Thrice, most of their stuff is metalcore or melodic hardcore, and some is post-hardcore (Ultrablue, the song from Propaganda, especially).

But, like with so many bands like this, it's hard to classify, and not actually useful, so why bother? I's music that sounds good to my ears, so that's all that matters.

classifications are the devil.

and yes, matchbook romance's new album is very good. everyone needs some poppy, happy stuff in their lives.

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!
