i'm curious.

although there are tons and tons of acapellas and instrumentals on jamglue.com for free if you've got an account.

hey guys. ok well, the vocal removing technique using audacity is supoer sketchy, and works if youre lucky, or if the singer sings in mostly one speaker ahah.

ok so, open a song. then, click on the left area, where the little down arrow is, near where it says 44100 hz or whatever. clicking it should make it a darker gray. anyways, click that arrow, and click split stereo track. you show now have two channels, aka two waveforms, instead of the ONE you had previously. next, go to effect>invert. and let the track invert. after it inverts, right click the gray area for both of the waves, and set BOTH to mono. in other words, each of them is set to either rright or left channel. you want both to be at mono. click play and see what happens! the majority of times, youll notice a slight change, if thats the case, go to effect and amplify. set it at a negative dB reading and play it. keep fooling around with amplify to see if you end up with an instrumental! pm for further help or whatever.
