Music for edits?

Where do you guys find music for edits? Do most people upload to vimeo/newschoolers for ski related edits that have copyright music?

How do you guys download music and get it into adobe without downloading viruses as well?
 
I have used VLC media player with a replaced LUAC file that lets you download video/audio files from youtube. Recently websites hosting the modified LUAC file, like GitHub, were forced to take it down by some large music industry company because they don't like people downloading music. So I don't know if that option is as easy as it used to be but, I'm sure you can probably still find the modified file somewhere.

uTorrent all day, if the torrent is slow from kickass I'll also load the trackers from thepiratebay. Download an artists discography, you'll find tons of music that way! For any hiphop I can't find on torrent sites I'll use datpiff or use bing search and type in "artist name zip download", works well for random unpopular albums too

that one doesnt download any viruses with the download link? had bad luck with those and have avoided them like the plague with my NEW computer

I’ve never gotten any. There’s just a lot of ads that say download so make sure it’s the actual download button

as long as you're not completely computer illiterate, its pretty easy to avoid getting a computer virus or malware, its not 2002 anymore.

How do you handle copyright issues? I know you make edits that are monetized. Do you pay royalties? Or just not upload any where with copyright issues like youtube?

Well I if I made an edit today I would just pick a song I like and not care, but when I was working for NS, I had a library to choose from. You can upload any edit with any song to NS btw
