Mullet bikes

Anyone ride one? Pros/Cons?

If you don't know a Mullet Bike is a bike with the front wheel a 29in and the rear a 27.5in

just ride a 29er or a 27.5 bike

but i think the idea is that it will allow the front of your bike to plow over stuff while also slackening the head angle to make it better on decents but idk for sure

I'd try it for a dedicated dh bike. Makes everything more slack and lowers your bb. Wouldnt want to pedal one up a hill tho, seems like it'd be hard to keep the front wheel on the ground.

Yeah, if you’re thinking about converting one that’s not already designed with geo for mullet, I’ve found that I tend to not like the slacker seat tube, low BB (pedal strikes), and wandery front wheel for climbing. On the ones I’ve tried, I feel like I noticed the slacker head angle and lower BB more than the actual wheel difference though, definitely made for a nice and stable ride in steep stuff, also loved how it cornered. But for a trail bike, I wouldn’t convert mine.
