My friends buying a new bike. We do some freeriding shit, trails, trial stuff, you name it. He wants a bike that can handle mostly anything. He might get full suspension, but hes not sure, since price ranges is around 1000.

What should he get?

 
hardtail, Norco mebbe, or a P3.

1000 will not get you a decent Full suspension unless you get an insane deal. Tell him to go demo some hardtails that he can afford. First bikes are learning bikes so you can rationalize getting a 3 thousand dollar bike later. Check out www.mtbr.com for reviews and just ride some.

 
I don't think he needs a dualy for what he does. Plus i wouldn't waste money on a dual that costs only 100$, it's have cheat componants.

Anyways, a nice cannondale chad would do it, or a P.2 or P.3, for with a little more money you can go into a brodie Brute or Bruzza.

for that budget you should definatley go for a hardtail

if he gets a dually not only is he not gonna get as good of a bike but no more trials either. Sounds like u guys don't go to hills so it's pointless. Good hardtail for sure. Check pinkbike they always have good shit. Look for sumthin like a P3, roast, 125, Jack flash..
