okay so next year to finish high school in victoria, but the closest place to ski would be mt washington, like 3 hours away, i was just wondering if anyone has skied it before and if it would be a good local mountain for a year before i move to whistler or wherever.. so yeah

its not very big, but i think its cool. ive only been there once for a few days, but i was definitely impressed by what theyd done with what theyve got. id guess powder days are pretty good... they have a park, its pretty small but its alright... except the pipe, the pipe they was a piece of shit when i was there.

 
okay the pipe is off... like you hit the deck on the right wall and boost into the middle of the pipe from the left wall- ouch. I hear they get a lot of snow but I didn't see it last year. (I go to U of Vic and wasn't the hugest fan)

I live in Burnaby now, But I have had a season's there for the past 5-6 years or so. I used to live in Nanaimo. I would say that it is not a bad mountian compared to some of the north shore stuff, or the others around. They are constantly expanding their terrain and lifts, there is a lot of money being pumped into the place. They do get a ton of snow, the only place in North America with more snow is Baker. It does get tracked up pretty fast on weekends, so weekdays are choice. The park is kind of hurting, but it gets better every year. The pipe is a piece, and they need new equiptment for it, but that may come soon.

It is by no means comparable to whistler, but not the worst mountian out there either. It is a big commute from Victoria though, I suggest living up there.

thats my home mt i grew up skiing and am now permenently banned...its ok, not great, but not shitty either, you get some good snow and some bad snow, the park has a few jumps, but dont waste your money on a lift ticket...just scam every time

i live there in the winter. well rounded mountain, lots o snow, and more trees then you can shake a pole at. the park is pretty shity maintained, but has some nice features. not many drops but some, opening backside nest year.

supposibly knarly cliffs back there. but ya, theres alot to do there so no worries. cya on da mountain,

i got banned for skiing the backside of the mountain...at the top of the mountain where the dildo is, there is a chute called heroin...tight and fast and you can point it right to the bottom...i just got caught back there way too often...

It's actually gotten a lot better for being able to go out of bounds. Patrol doesn't really care now because it has access points to go out there and they are cool when you carry avi gear.
