Mt. Hood Passes: Which one do i buy

heading up to mt hood next week for the first time, just seeing if it’s worth it to buy the $120 freestyle training centre ticket for the day or if the public park included in the $97 ticket is good enough. For reference I’m skiing on a busted shoulder so no airbag, just trying to hit some vibey tubes and small-large rails and probably M-L jumps.

Haven't been up in 3 years, but the public park should still be popin' as the rope tows (FTC) were not open until Tuesday, so I'm under the impression that the summer camps were "stuck" in the public park for Monday and the park crew would have done it up real nice for them.

FTC looks pretty sick rn. Lots of variety on rails and jumps, also some fun looking qps/wave features. The lines at the tows might be a little long with all the campers but the tows also stay open for an hour longer than the magic mile. Mile park has a halfpipe, two medium jumps, and about 7 rails (a box at the top and then 3 sets of two). There was a fun flow park at the bottom of mile park but they bulldozed everything but a hip cause the ftc opened and timberline wants your money

Right now as far as i know you gotta put down the big bucks to get full ftc access. $1000 season pass gets you palmer access.

and I hope I’m wrong but i was told by a friend they only sell ftc day passes for $120.

public park has a 15ft pipe, 2 medium jumps, beginner rails and medium rails. Also a flow park but idk how long it’ll last.

was anyone able to get an ftc season pass?

Ftc season pass isnt a thing this year from my understanding. $120 per day for an ftc ticket or $97 for a regular lift ticket

Im really only gonna be able to ski until 1-2pm at the latest but probably earlier as I’m just passing through the area, might be more worth it to just do the base pass for the day, any other insights ya got on how the setup was and if I should just bite the bullet and upgrade haha

You need the 97$ ticket no matter what the ftc ticket is an add on

Currently sitting on Palmer and I can confirm that you don’t need to buy the ticket and FTC, the FTC serves as a normal ticket and the extra $23 is what gets you access, not an additional $120 on top of the $97

Yes this is what I said. $120 if you want to get into FTC and $97 if you dont

Yeah it's an add on as in being 120 instead of 97. Big sad vibes on having no summer pass upgrade or day upgrade for passholders though.

Mile park is pretty fun still. Pipe has been hitting. Jumps are good again. 2 hips in lower, a dub volcano boob feature below the jumps and 7 various size jibs. The tower tube donkey has been in there for a while and that's one of my favorite rails.

Ftc def has some good shit though. If you're around on Saturdays that's a good day to go ftc generally much quieter.
