Mt high?

Mt High is a not too steep mountain with a pretty decent terrain park, big crowds, and inconsistent snow years (hence the insane amount of snowmaking, like everywhere in SoCal).
It's close as fuck to LA, but it's also kinda not hugely awesome compared to a lot of places.

Mt. Baldy is the best terrain in socal, but is south facing, so shit gets slushed out quick once the sun does pop.
Big Bear is probably the best bet as far as everything all around.. and has the best views/elevation and such, but it's a bit further than the rest of LA.

If you're moving to the LA area in the spring, then hope for a good year.. most of it's done by march in most seasons, and you're stuck hitting the road for 6 hours to make it to Mammoth - which really only sucks if you dont have a good ride-share situation.

Wrightwood is a cool town. We used to live there, but for a bigger and steeper place head up to Mt Baldy.

i live in Wrightwood and i love it its a great town plus mt high has a fun park besides the insane amount of douchers and theres good hiking and biking during the spring summer and fall

Mt. High is pretty sweet saying how close it is to LA and the beach and all. Really fun park. The bigger jumps can get gnarly just cause you have no speed there. I remember undershooting the 40 footer earlier this year, not much fun. But they always have fun little things set up and the whole mountain is pretty much a park. No steep stuff. Snow is consistently sloppy anyways, sometimes it does get decent snow but not often. Never been to Bear but I've heard good things about it. And when it does snow I heard Mt. Baldy is the spot to be.

Anyone going for closing day?
