This weekend is such a fucking toss-up. Crystal claims as per onthesnow.com they are opening the sixth. Website = no indication + no snow making. Phone operators say no snow no go.
Boyne Highlands and Mountain are dicking around everyday. You can see them getting stuff ready. I would bet 1 million dollars we will be open dec 12th up north like everyone else mentions.
But seriously they are dicking around I think. They claim they need 28 degree temps BEFORE wind chill to make snow..........
I think what they mean is they need 28 degree temps so that don't waste money on making more snow.
This is a give and take situaton. they give us more snow making. They make less money, but they also harm the environment more.
But I don't care really. The snow is sticking at Nubs Nob.
Tomorrow is supposed to be the "start of winter" as per weather forecasts. In other words we shouldn't be hitting 40 degrees for a while. Low's in the 20's and highs in the lower / mid 30's.......I want to scope them webcams out and see fucking snow flying everywhere tomorrow.

MI sucks right now so much. I dont think anything will be open until new years at least. The ground isnt even cold enough to hold any snow that is made. The days are sunny and 50 while the nights drop cold. Weirdest season ever. Havent been up north at all. I go to WMU, so lake effect snow hits here hard before most places. But its as white here as the desert.

i would agree until tonight. tonight changed the game. we shouldn't see 40 degrees for a while.....
all the resorts are lit up like christmas trees blowing snow. it is if you will...a fucking blizzard outside. people are driving retarded. road crews are behind.
i think that we MAY see someone open this weekend. Brighton, someone....
They got a lot of snow to make and groom in a short amount of time if they want to be open for this Saturday or Sunday
