so i just got accepted into msu, and im trying to figure out which hall to go with.

based on what the webpage lists as amenities i have a few top choices, North Hedges, Langford, and Roskie. out of these three which has the most "skier friendly" atmosphere, and or a chill vibe.

is there a different hall you would recommend?

any answers will get +karma thanks guys

DON'T GO TO LANGFORD. its an all dudes dorm and its real gay. I was is south which was a lot of fun because we had a shitload of chill kids on our floor. I have heard it hasn't been good the past few years though. I would probably recommend south hedges or roskie. north would be fine too though.

north and south are pretty much the same. they are chill with cool people and what not. then go to roskie if you want to get rickter.

high rises are the way to go lots of awesome people in roskie, south and north i lived in south for four years best times of college

south is grimy. people definitely love to party, but its honestly kinda gross how dirty it gets sometimes.

roskie people wild out too, but dont find it necessary to tear the place to pieces like they do in south.

and north, imo at least, is the mellowest of the three. but i also dont know that many folks in north

South is always a fun time

Roskie is super chill and everyone knows eachother in the little pods

North is a cleaner and much nicer version of South

Don't go to Langford because it is way far from everything.

sweet man im sure you will be really happy with either of those plus if you get a big sky or moonlight pass those three dorms are about a 5min walk to the free bus! always a plus if you don't have a car

Roskie!!!! Rooms are tiny as shit but the pods make it all worth while. Roskie is known for being mostly skiers and boarders who smoke to much weed and get waisted. Freshman year was a blast.

id say south roskie north imo

dirty south- always fun but dirty

roskie- way chill lots of weed

north- cleenest but doesnt seem as fun

i just found out i got in today. i'm considering north hedges or roskie. i'm still not even sure i'll go to MSU, just keeping my options open.

which dorm has the most out-of-state students?

i've heard that most of the in-state montana students (that don't ski/board) are anti-social around out-of-state students

i would say they are equal. thats not true though (that ive noticed) just as long as you show respect and dont act like your better then anyone else, you will be liked

good to know. i'm thinking roskie or north based on what i've read in here. i've toured roskie but didn't get a chance to see north on the tour

is there anything wrong with getting a single room in roskie instead of a double?

anybody with personal experience?

i wouldnt get a single my freshman year. having a roommate is a great way to get to know people, and if you hate him you can always switch at semester.

touche. sounds like a roskie double is the way to go from what i've heard NSers and others say

I'm sure it would be all right, but I would recommend getting a roomate. My roomate's girlfriend had a double as a single and she doesn't have many friends it seems like. Go for the roomate.

just sent in the application and here's what i put...

1. Roskie double

2. North Hedges double

3. Roskie single

So i just found out i got in as a transfer for a semester as a junior (national student exchange shits legit) And im looking for an apt. Anyone know where to look, every place i have found have been like 2 miles+ from campus and that just wont work, id be antisocial if i lived that far away haha. But anyway, i need to find a place to live, any advise would be huge

yep. only shitty thing is you get BLINDING sunlight when the suns going down. i had my tv there and couldnt see ANYTHING during sunset lol

but you dont get the obnoxious morning sun so thats better.

haha that's fine with me

i'm kinda hoping that a fellow NSer signs on and sees that the room number i posted is the same as theirs... and i find out my roommate early

My first semester roommate moved into his friends room and my new second semester roommate moved in with his friend.

Yay for double as a single!

Hopefully I can get a room in Roskie next year since South Hedges blows huge donkey dick.

did you apply for housing yet? get on that! me and rob are living in the deluxe double as a singles in roskie. we were too lazy to look for/set up off campus stuff haha

yeah idk how many spots are left. you need to do it asap.

howd you enjoy your fire drill last night? haha you guys were out there for a WHILE

I was sleeping and I don't want to talk about it. Fucking bullshit.

Stood out in the cold in shorts and shoes with no socks.
