Whos applying to MSU as a freshman for next fall? Just got my online app done. It was super easy. Definately want to room with someone from the skiing scene, so just get at me and we can get housing arrangments made.
 
I submitted mine two weeks ago so i should know soon. So stoked! i can't wait to leave the east and meet some people who are interested in the same stuff i am.
 
I am in about a month when I get my act back. Really hoping I get a 33 and I get that $60k scholarship. Does anybody know whether my kind of late application will matter in scholarship consideration? The office of admissions said no but I'm having doubts...
 
just finished it too! I am friends with Jstrathern, so we talk about this everyday, but it would be dope to have a big NS gathering of the class of 2016 in the fall!
 
Just got my acceptance letter for fall of 2012, pretty sure i wanna go but not one hundred percent. Keep postin on this thread cause if i wanna go id for sure wanna room with someone from NS.. probly in Roskie cause i hear thats where the bud and skiers are at haha. Hit me up with a PR if your lookin for a roomy.
 
From what ive heard ( no longer a freshman so i can't be 100%) Roskie is getting strict as all hell. Whole campus really in regards to weed.

So to all you incoming Freshman, don't be fucking stupid, you or your parents are paying a lot of money, and its not so you can get kicked out of school.

nicest rooms: North/South Hedges

Party dorms: Roskie

In regards to the whole weed in the dorms thing. As long as you take the proper precautionary measures, you can smoke. They are getting more strict and even the chillest RA will have to do something if your smoking in your room. They don't care as much about drinking as long as your not loud and belligerent.

Also, with the new tobacco ban, no more hookah seshes outside of roskie anymore.

btw I'm in roskie right meow, moving off campus next semester.
 
i go to MSU! feel free to ask me/pm me about it. it's a fun school, and skiing is definetly a HUGE thing, at least in my dorm roskie. I highly recommend it!
 
I'm going to MSU next year probably. I'd be an exchange student from the Netherlands, but would really like to have some like-minded people as roommates.
 
if you are dumb you are gonna get caught for sure. i live in roskie this year and smoke in my room almost everyday, just gotta be smart about it. the only way i can see you getting written up really is if you are smoking during quiet hours and get a noise complaint or something.
 
Looking for a cool roomate who doesn't smoke at all, and doesn't really party that hard.

I am going into the film and photography department, I like to shred obviously. I am pretty artsy i guess. PM me if you are interested!
 
Visited the other day, even though it's not a big deal I'm kinda concerned that they didn't show us the bathrooms/showers at the dorms, anyone know what they're like/where they are?
 
they're somewhat run-down, but what really pissed me off was how nobody made an effort to keep them clean. a janitor cleans them every single day and yet they're disgusting again within an hour. just leave it to the douchebag that spits on the mirror, shaves into the sink, throws his used paper towels on the ground, pisses on the toilet seat, throws toilet paper rolls across the bathroom, rips down the shower curtains, and breaks the stall doors.

that's mainly just roskie, though. north hedges is a little better and i'm sure langford is minty if you're willing to live there.

don't let that deter you from MSU though. it's really an awesome place and i'm glad i chose to go here. on-campus living isn't the best, but there's so much nice, affordable off-campus housing that most people are off by sophomore year.
 
Never ever ever forget your shower shoes, or you'll be feelin man goo between your toes. I lived on 11th in North Hedges and We had 3 showers and a tub.. I really doubt anybody used the tub all year. There were 2 showers next to the shitters on one side of the bathroom and a shower/tub area next to the urinals on the other side.
 
there are 2 sides to a floor, so there are 7 showers and a tub. The shower next to the tub is hardly ever used. And the Man Good thing has not happened at least on my floor this year. No one uses the tub, so thats really no concern.

Truthfully I like it here this year, people on my floor are pretty nice. I recomend either North Hedges or Roskie. South some people like some people hate. I dislike south.

I'm living in the dorms next year again, trying to get a single room in Roskie, if i can't I might be looking for a roommate.
 
I was accepteda couple weeks ago . Still trying to figure out where I would like to live on campus if I choose to go here. Im 90% sure this is where im going. Coming from east coast. Id love to have a roommate that loves to ski and does party. I'll post here later if I choose to go here. Let me know if you would need a roommate
 
Same here. I'm from even further east (Europe) and would like a similar roommate as well. Party hard, ski harder. How old are you?

What are the rates/prices for on/off-campus living?

im applying now, hopefully its not too late. ill need someone to room with as well if i get in. as far as interests, im a pretty typical 18 year old:

skiing is my passion, currently skiing about 2-3 times a week and am stoked to get to bigger and better skiing in montana. not a typical park rat, love trees and deep more than anything.

party twice a week or more, smoke almost daily at the moment but it really could depend on who im around next year for how hard i go. always down though

concerts, music, athletics, fashion, arts, women, and friends also play a pretty big part in who i am. hoping ill meet nsers next fall, so hit me up as it gets closer!
 
Just filled out my housing application, I'm going to be a freshman and might be looking for a roommate if anyone's interested. Skiing is really my favorite thing to do and I'll definitely want to go 3 times a week or so if I'm able to. I also really love film/photography and will probably major in either film or business. If anyone wants some more info PM me!
 
My brother is coming here next fall and he is looking for people that shred and smoke bowls. A lot of bowls. He snowboards and I'm going to be coming there a year after. Who's trying to party in Bozeman?
 
I just finished my housing app other than actually sending it in! Stoked for college next year! Not committed yet...but MSU is in my top two...gotta decide soon though!!!
 
I'm in. I took a tour of MSU today and it seems there are 4 main groups of people: Weird under the radar, Jocks, Hicks, and skiers. We must unite the freestyle skier freshmen early.
 
Well i'll be a sophy, but i'd say lets get a meetup going on at the beginning of next year. I'll bring the chips and dip
 
What date is everyone coming out? What date works best for everyone. I live out here so any time works for me
