for info stay tuned to MidwestSkier.com and ms03.org (the last two are numbers, 03). Spirit has a website but it won't say much more aside from when the event is. MS03.org will be the event site come the new year.

na nate, I'm pretty sure that duluth is an alchohol free place. But i do think we should get a bunch of people to stay in the same hotel and do something afterwards... that would be pretty bad ass. I moved the party to friday this year so we won't all be totaly tired and can actually do some parting that night. I'm a thinker!

 
yea ima be there i think, but ill miss out on the drinking. stupid laws. 14 year old should be boozin it up, like in europe! oh well. i just need a way to get rid of my dad. he skis with me, and is a huge embarasment to nature.

It's gonna be sick... I rode spirit today and talked to the guy in charge of the whole thing... they're re-arranging the park, putting more rails in below the pipe. For qualifying, the money booter won't be open. Pretty much sounds like they want all your air tricks in the pipe, and then some mad jibbing skills afterwards.

Word has it that some guy has a switch 1080 to throw down in the big air comp, that should for sure win that.

They aren't adding any rails. That was the wrong word. They're just moving rails so that there are more options below the pipe. And I think they're adding a small (10-15 foot) table as well, at least it looked like it yesterday cuz they were pushing a shitload of snow.

I talked to him yesterday, the 20th.

The guy is pretty dumb though, when we asked if we could invert in the pipe, he said 'I don't know what that means.' Because last year, inverts weren't allowed in prelims. I guess the big thing is just to show up tomorrow and see what the park looks like and plan your line from there. It really pisses me off that they're making pipe part of it, I would much rather hit tables and rails. Fuck pipe.

they really should've shaved that pipe for the slopestyle course. i would've liked to see some shit thrown in there since there weren't any big hits on the course.

the comp was big air and slopestyle with a crappppppy halfpipe in the middle of the course and mostly rails but the rails were nice
