MSN messenger sucks: heres a better option

It's called Adium X. It's free, and downloadable on www.adiumx.com . you can use your AIM, iChat, MSN, Yahoo messenger, jabber, google talk and other IM services all together on that app, and its beautiful.

i've been running adium ever since i got my mac and i love it it is so much cooler than the msn for mac

Mercury messenger lets you use isight. Not great but it works.

anyone running AIM with this? just curious to know how it works, cause i keep having to go on ichat b/c my regular aim keeps closing down in he middle of a session

yes i do.

if you're setting up the account for the first time, set up your msn and your aim accounts, but if you didn't do it at first, go to Preferences --> Accounts --> '+' button --> AOL Instant Messenger. Set it up, and it should work. I set mine both up at the beginning, but I don't think its much different. My AIM contacts appear on the list exactly as if they were an msn contact, and when I click to talk to them, it's EXACTLY the same... soo easy!
