MSLM New Helmet Policy

has no effect on me, i always wear a helmet but im sure that there will be some people who will not like this at all.

Not surprising at all, but good at them - if you're riding the park without a cap you're asking for an injury. Also will cutdown on joeys in the junkyard.

i dont have a problem with it

i always wear a helmet

its good since less people are gonna get injured

a more solid target base of actual park riders now too. I am going to have fun kicking kids out who are just in the way, and now i have a legal excuse to do it!

Should be interesting to see how Dagmar implements this seeing as their park takes up 1/4 of their hill.

I'm all for this idea, it's about time really. Though Dagmar should have mentioned something on their site and brochures

If the lift just serviced the two parks it could be easily implemented at the bottom of the lift while people get on. BUT that's not the case

Also interesting to note on MSLM's site it says, "Only appropriate snow sports helmets will be allowed" Capix and sandbox? I personally would never buy any sort of lid that doesn't protect my noggin' hence why I waited till sandbox realeased their certified versions.

Going to be interesting to see how things unfold... As always there will be a bunch of unhappy campers.

my first thought was against this.
im still kinda on the fence, because days when i just wanna jump and not really try anything new i dont want to wear a helmet.
however this will help grind out some of the kids who really shouldnt be in the park to begin with.
and as far as implementation, all they need to do is put some funding to top of the hill operations...ala, put a park staff at the top of the hill to monitor who is going in the park and put some kind of gate there, such as oshawa ski club has done in the past.

get used to it kids. in the next couple years you will undoubtedly see helmets mandatory at every hill and not just in the parks but on the whole mountain.

...and yes they will enforce shit like this

Helmet policy at Dagmar will be tough to enforce and something that has come up in converstaion since the policy has been announced. Fencing at the top of the big park side will have to be done as usual....but the large entrance that is on the mini park side will be difficult to manage...fencing is pain in the ass because of how large the entrance is....and you still have some runs that don't require helmets passed the mini park...so what do you do? you can have someone posted at the top of the park enforcing the rule...which I don't think anyone would ever want to do....or you continue having park staff patrolling the park and getting people that way...on top of this is the lack of communication to the customers...nothing on the website that i have seen and nothing in the brochure....so you know first day is going to catch people off guard...When did Louis decide to implement this rule?...Its not so bad at Louis because the big park is serviced by one lift and seems as though it could be enforced easier....blah blah blah....

outback will be easy but i dunno how they are going to get mass amounts of random people that filter in and out of the junkyard to wear helmets... such a large entrance and sooo many people.
