Moving to Whistler

So my plan for the last year or so has been to finish this year of school and get in my car and move out west, out of shitty ontatrio. Im planing on applying at for a job at whistler and living in staff housing. while im working there im going to look for an apprenticeship (electrician) and somewhere else to live (and if cant find a place? i dont mind living in my car for a few weeks).

Basically im asking if anyone has done this, and has any tips for me. Any information is useful to me(what you did, cheap places to live, how to save money, tips, tricks, wish good luck, hate, OP is a stupid east coaster, ect) , and i already know the reality that is me being broke for the next handful of years. Thanks!
 
if you move out here once you've finished school you won't have a problem finding a place.

I didn't sign a lease when moved out in the spring and regret it because i got fucked come fall.

Find a good place to live that isn't a shared room if possible and sign a year lease.

thats what i wish i did. If you're more interested in partying than riding staff housing would be perfect for you though.
