Moving to Whistler.

So I have decided to take the year off from college and hopefully move out to whistler for next winter.I'm trying to get a job for the mountain so I can get a free pass and staff housing, but I'm not totally sure that will work out. So does anyone have some advice as to where to look for employment or housing?Or just any advice in general for someone looking to move to that area?

A lot of companies out that that aren't related to the reasort will also pay for some of your pass. they do this because everyone out there wants to ski - it's like an extra benefit. but then, a lot of companies don't, so it depends.

No, sorry. I only know this because i have a friend who ski bums out there and he told me that when I went to visit him in February.

if u wanna ski dont work for the mountain. the hours and the pay sucks. the Westin and the 4 Seasons has staff housing and the Blackcomb Lodge gives u a living bonus. Best advice i can give is if ur 19 and have ur full drivers license, get ur Class 4 license. it opens soo many jobs that pay way better than most of the other jobs and the hours r a little better

if your down with a mellow job work at creekside market. they give you a pass and it pays around 12 an hour and its easy to steal grocerys from.

Thanks.
Does anyone know the going rate for a tiny loft apartment? like kitchen/bedroom + a bathroom?
