Sooooo I'm moving to vernon next year (well technically to silverstar, we got a super cheap condo there so we will be living up there) for a year. I'm going there cause I live in the Yukon and here the skiing is absolutely horrible, and I want to get better. I'm going with my mother and a friend. Any nsers live on the mountain? Just wondering. And how's the pow skiing there? I'm going there for park but yeah just wanted to know if there was some good pow days usually.
 
you'll get the odd good pow day, ski the backside when that happens. If you really want powder, revelstoke is a resonable drive away.

I ski bigwhite, but i have a dual pass for both mountains, so i go to SS quite a bit, i like the park.
 
Yeah I wanted to go to Revelstoke once in a while when I would know they got good conditions, heard lots of good things about it.
 
silverstar is such a nice place to live during the on seasons (summer and winter) but during the fall and late spring it sucks becuase there is nothing to do and its 20 mins from town. i used to live there. but as far as the skiing goes. comet is always packed could expect a 20 wait in line on a busy day (sat and sun) all the other lifts are pretty empty. silver woods can get busy some times, so can the back side. and the lift to the far left of the comet, the 4 person chair, thats empty
