I'm moving out to utah next year and i'm from michigan so I don't really know what pass I should get. was hoping to ride at brighton, alta/bird, powder mtn and pc. are there any good big pass deals?
alta/bird is the only combo pass you can buy, its like 1800 too. You could get a utah silver pass/gold pass but thats gonna cost you 5k/10k.
I did Alta/PC for years, great combo IMO but it really depends on where your friends ski and where ever you get a pass you can meet tons of new people there too.
Depending on what area of Michigan you're from, Brighton is owned by Boyne and offers a couple of day passes there if you decide to go back and visit home.
Powder Mountain is dope too, but too far from Salt Lake IMO. If you're planning on moving to Ogden/Layton then Basin/PowMow makes more sense.
I'm assuming you're going to the U, I'm finishing up my freshmen year there and I'd say go brighton/pc if you can afford it and with the brighton pass you get a day at snowbird and alta. Brighton just offers the flexibility of getting a ride because most people in the dorms go big cottonwood. PC is the best parks just a little bit less people ride there but it all depends who you know.
I worked part time at snowbird (2 to 3 days a week) as an instructor and bought a pass to brighton thru the One Love club at the U for a discount. Brighton opened first last year and got some early season there. Bone zone is free for preseason. You can get some free tickets to Alta thru working at bird. Got to meet lots of good skiers and interesting folks who worked there too. Also brighton has night skiing which makes it easier to ski after class if you have a busy schedule.
