I'm thinking about moving to Revelstoke as a neat job opportunity has likely shown its face. I've never been there, so can you guys dish some dirt?

mmmm small mountain town, not a tonne to do but ski, snowmobile and in the summer fish. little tiny mountain at the moment. An extreme amazing mountain going in for next year. like amazing powder and biggest vertical drop in north america. gondola going from the town to the main village on the mountain. should be epic pow skiing. once that gets in the town will be good, until then, have fun.

If you could get your hands on some realestate you could probably make a fair bit of cash in a few years when the new skihill is there.

If you beat me there. well.. I just don't know!

There are several threads on revy down below this one. biglines.com is another site to get some info. There are certainly some colorful threads and debates to read and browse through.

the boat has already sailed on making money on real estate, awesome little town though and amazing snow. See you there this winter!

the hill thats going in is gonna be so good

plus it has amazing backcountry/sled terrain

my friends playing a big part in the development and its going to be sick ive cat skied a few of the cut trails higher up already and theyre sick. definately a good move

the trails up near the top have been cut since the early 90's bro...theres been catskiing there forrrrevvvverrrr, its just this year that they were bought out and closed down. My dad is the project manager for all the condos and buildings including lodges, heli ski pads ect for the the new mountain.

yeah i claimed but just to let you know the cheapest buildings are starting at 1000$ a square foot...so that means for a condo it will be at the minimum $750,000... shits not cheap, god damn whistler prices.

sick here. heaps of mtn bike trails for summer, people are great and the mtn is gonna rock. bc access is killer too, spesh if ya got a sled

I am still seriously considering this. My stupid ass got busy with skiing last winter and didn't make the move.

I'm glad you made this thread because I'm in the same boat. I have decided to go but can't figure out whether to make the move start of december or right after the new year when flights are a little cheaper. Revel stoke is going to have some wicked riding and I want to be there.

Now this is amazing, just what ski towns do

they make this amazing hill with a reputaion like no other

and people move into it

its simply amazing

never happened to golden though

im glad

kicking horse is still relitively unknown and doesnt have the terrain that revelstoke has. kicking horse has steep terrain but lack of quality snow ruins it

i think you should do it for sure, the mountain is goin to be awsome, plus there will be alot of job openings probobly because of all the expantion.
