Moving to Oklahoma city. Whats it like?

im 19 living in new hampshire. my dad just got a job in Oklahoma city so i might be move down there with him for awhile. anyone live there? where is the nearest skiing? whats do okies do for fun? answer my questions NSG
 
I lived there for a few years. Skiing is a good ways, so don't expect to be making trips every weekend. Paintball is huge there, as is partying.
 
I went there for a week one time, wont be going back ever again. Sorry man, that's a tough move.
 
Havent lived there but they get mad thunderstorms like Tornadoes and shit. If you got a nice whip better get a garage for it dont want the hail to damage it lol,

yeah this thread has basically confirmed my negative stereotypes about oklahoma... there is good reason for it being the 4th cheapest state to live in. fuck moving there. perhaps i will go road tripping for awhile

 
I suggest Canada, i mean...ive only been there a few times...but my impression is that the people are very friendly and active. And i have been to many many states, and the ones that i like most are most likely Illinois *Chicago Metro-withing 45 miles from the city* just because i like how everything is so close and you dont have to drive if you want something. Only downside is no ski'ing. Of course Colorado is a pretty killer state, especially the Summit County area. And Utah is also nice, the Ogden area in particular. Because it is a decent size city so there is everything you need, but not huge like a major city. But Salt Lake City is only like 15 miles away, and ski'ing is only like 10 miles to Pow Mow and a bunch of other leet resorts. But i think Park City is still like 1 hour and a half away. And Alta and Birghton are like 45? So if i could sum it up i would say Ogden, Utah would be the ideal place to live for a skier that still wants to be in a city type enviroment.
 
OK is my favorite state right now. not one single county voted for obama. porn is illegal there though, just so you know, at least in stores.
 
Have you met the people in Oklahoma? Not saying that they are retarded, just mentally challenged. They vote completely on who they think likes god more. I lived there for a summer, OK city is the best place in the state to be though.

And a lot more than porn is illegal, selling cold beer, selling anything but alcohol at liquor stores, having happy hours at bars, being gay, being a non-douche bag, etc.

The girls are kind of hot though, from far away, they wear way too much makeup and all have bleached blond hair, and they are shallow, stupid, and get fat around 23.
 
sounds like one hell of a err.. hellhole.. ha it will be interesting to have such a drastic change in lifestyle never lived in a city before. if i really hate it then i will leave

 
i would hardly call it a city. its more like a giant town. most cities out west have enormous areas. its got an area almost twice the size of strafford county.
 
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Last season was a waste of an incredibly talented team with no heart. Disappointing.
