From January and the following 6 months I’m

going to study/work, at School of Mines in Golden Colorado as a part of my PhD.

To prevent my brain from being completely overloaded I need some chill time

skiing and therefore I need a to buy a season pass, the only problem I have no

idea which resort or package to pick.

Important parameters:

Vertical drop

Accessible backcountry

Snow quality

Fast liftsystem or short queues

Thank you

Rune

I'd go Winter Park....from Golden you can be there in an hour and fifteen minutes on weekdays.

Good snow, Berthoud Pass (backcountry) is on the way, nice vibe to the mountain, and some pretty epic tree skiing.

Not a whole ton of slackcountry off of WP though.

epic pass? unlimited riding to vail and beaver creek, both have BC access, a basin skiing form oct-june. and then breck and keystone have really good parks, and some other pretty good terrain.

yeah and winter park/berthoud pass get a fair amount of really good snow cause they're like right o the continental divide

but really you can't go too wrong with any pass (except maybe eldora) in co.
