Sup everyone, I just got a job in Worcester and am moving to Boston in a couple weeks from Wisconsin. Looking for possible roommates and friends to ski with this winter. I am a 22 year old guy and would like to live with people around the same age but Id consider anything. What are some good places/ neighborhoods for kids my age to live in? So far I am thinking fenway, bay village, cambridge, or sommerville.

Definitely looking for some people to shred with this winter too. Whats the ski scene like in Boston? What are the closest and best mountains/ parks? Any crews out there hitting urban still?

Feel free to reply or PM me with any info youve got! thanks

The Boston to Worcester commute isn't going to be fun- at all. You're looking at about an hour without traffic so I'd suggest looking for somewhere closer. With that being said, being 22 and anywhere other than Boston kinda sucks so if you can put up with the commute you'll be all set. I'd suggest looking at Somerville or Brighton for housing if you've already decided on Boston because you can actually find something affordable there.

I go to UNH so I'm not back home in mass very often at this point but in terms of skiing, there isn't too much. Wachusett is my home mountain and is where I ski when I'm back home but I'd suggest going to Nashoba instead, the park there is better than Wachusett even though the season there is shorter. Otherwise, you're looking at traveling to NH, VT, or ME for skiing. My favorite mountains on the east are Mt Snow and Loon so I'd suggest checking them out as well. Hope my advice helped a little, and PM me if you want to hit some urban in Boston, I'd love to make a trip for that this year!

what's up man you're basically in the exact same position I was in. just moved here after college for work and was looking for people to ski with. I actually met a ns'er to ski with from a thread I made like this and he turned out to be a really good dude that I became good friends with. unfortunately he just moved away for work so im again looking for people to ski park with haha my roommates board casually but that's about it

I live in cambridge and love it for the price while still being close proximity to the city. the worcester commute does not sound fun but neither does living in outside the city...so yea look at something just outside the city but in that direction like allston/brookline. if you're still looking for housing my buddy i just referred to still rent his two person north end apartment and is subletting it, that would be a good spot.

and to both of you guys, id be down to hit urban sometime. i literally don't know anyone that skis park. would be down to ski sometime

I'm just thinking about moving to Boston, but I have some doubts. Please tell me what the average salary should be in order to afford a good life there. I was already ready to move, and then there was this situation with the virus and the worldwide quarantine, so I was unlucky. You won't believe it, but I even managed to call the guys from man with a van london, who packed my items for shipment to Boston. It's a good thing I didn't have time to negotiate a house rent and items delivery to a new place, or I would have lost both items and money. But the good news is that I have time to explore Boston better, because I was going to come at random.
